Family Farming
New Leaf Family Farms is a licensed California cannabis nursery, cultivator, and distributor of sustainability sun-grown flower that offers our customers a consistent, Quality, and Delectable Product.
At New Leaf, we strive to provide our California consumers with craft exotic strains, produced to Sun Grown Perfection.
In-House Genetics
New Leaf Family Farms is committed to creating and growing the highest quality cannabis flowers. Why get them from someone else when we know we can do it better? We are constantly innovating, testing, and tinkering to ensure we continue to offer hand-crafted cannabis that is second-to-none. At the beginning we chose our initial strains based on a diagnostic analysis of their genetic makeup; ensuring they were pure, and had the best aroma, flavor, and experience. We would put our custom genetics up against anyone’s.
The Greenhouse
Our greenhouse has been carefully constructed to accommodate environmental factors that allow us to grow year-round. Our growing operations are located in the world renown “Salad Bowl of the world.” in Salinas, California. Our Families have been part of the noble agricultural history in this region for the past three generations. So, for us this is not a job, it is a lifestyle that we are passionate about. We currently grow in our 40,000 square foot greenhouse and produce approximately 3,500 pounds annually. Like a house, a strong crop starts with a strong, well-planted foundation.
Sustainability and soil health of our flowers are among our top priorities. Without a healthy, prosperous environment to grow our flowers, we wouldn’t have a business. Therefore, we care for our environment correctly to ensure longer sustainability for both the environment and our business. Our in-house team of experts ensures that our processes are sustainable by using watering techniques to ensure equal distribution of irrigation water, testing the soil to guarantee correct levels of vitamins and minerals for the plants to thrive and being sure that soil is free of any soil-borne diseases prior to planting our seeds and clones.
Watering Methods
In most cases, when you grow cannabis using well water, you are pouring harmful particles into your plant root zones. You are also consuming those harmful particles yourself! We use water that has been treated using Reverse Osmosis.
Reverse Osmosis removes harmful nitrates and allows our growers to give plants the consistent nutrients they need through drip irrigation. We’re able to target water application and deliver water directly to the plant’s root zone, eliminating wasteful hand watering.
